Hon. Zam gave this advise today during a reception after a Thanksgiving Mass in honour of the SU President, Benue State University, Martins Tersoo Chuwan.
Represented by Gwer West "one-time" Chairman and elder of the APC Hon.
Godfrey Choughul, Hon. Zam called on the president and other elected SU
officials from Gwer West to always remember to cooperate among
themselves and consult elders especially where they encounter hiccups
in the course of their duties.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman, Gwer West Local Government Hon. Francis Ayagah promised to organize a dinner for the SU President and his officials and called on Nagi students to take a cue from the life of Mr. Chuwan who is a medical student and always be determined to achieve set life goals no matter their background and the challenges they may encounter.
He vehemently criticized politicians who do not have the interest their people at heart but are rather in the habit of backbiting their leaders and fellow politicians. According to him, any politician willing to criticize should first of all present what he or she has done for the people.
Also speaking, a former president of the Student Union, Benue State University, Comr. Peter Adom sued for support of elders of Tyoshin land to the SU President Mr. Chuwan to enable him succeed.
In a brief remark, the District head, Avihijime in Gwer West Chief Joseph Abeh called on the SU President Mr. Chuwan to try his best to make Udam clan, his immediate constituency, proud.
In his response, the SU President Comr. Tersoo Chuwan thanked the stakeholders and the good people of Gwer West for the honour accorded him and promised to represent Tyoshin land well wherever he finds himself.
