GWER WEST VIGILANTE GROUP RECEIVES HILUX VAN TO BOOST ANTI OPEN GRAZING LAW IMPLEMENTATION[see photos]

The Executive Chairman, Gwer West Local Government Hon. Francis Ayagah
this morning took delivery of a Hilux Van procured by Governor Samuel
Ortom for Gwer West Vigilante Group to enhance its operations towards
the implementation of the Open Grazing Prohibition Law in the state.
Receiving the Hilux Van on behalf of the Gwer West Vigilante Group,
Hon. Ayagah thanked the
Executive Governor of Benue His Excellency Dr. Samuel Ortom for giving priority to the security of lives and property of Benue citizenry by enacting a law prohibiting open grazing which has been a major catalyst to insecurity in the state. He said Gov. Ortom is very fair in the allocation of the Vans while describing Gwer West as the most vulnerable area to the insecurity masterminded by suspected Fulani herders.
Hon. Ayagah used the avenue to debunk rumours being speculated in certain quarters that he was not working in solidarity with the Vigilante Group in the local government and therefore did not show commitment to the allocation of a van to the local government. He expressed disappointment at the attitude of mongers of such unjustifiable falsehood saying as one who has given priority to security since he assumed office, he has been working with the local government commandant on behalf of the group and has always given priority to their welfare and challenges.
Making the presentation, the Assistant Commandant Operations of the Benue State Vigilante Group John Gba described the newly presented Hilux as a step by the Executive Governor of Benue State to enhance effective implementation of Open Grazing Prohibition Law and urged the local government to put the facility to optimal utilization.
The Hilux Van was in turn presented to the commandant of the Gwer West Vigilante Group for proper policing of vulnerable areas and full implementation of Open Grazing Prohibition Law in the State.
